DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — After nearly 1.5″ of rain last week, the dry start to this week was a welcomed sight! We made it into the low 60s, and we’ll keep it above average tonight with lows in the low 40s.
Tuesday will be another mostly sunny day with temperatures right back in the low 60s yet again. It will be a little breezy with winds out of the NW at 10-15 mph.
Wednesday will start off in the middle 30s, but we’ll slowly climb into the upper 50s as the day goes on. We’ll see an increase in cloud cover which is an indication of what’s to come next.
Thursday will be a wet one with a 60% chance for showers and even a few storms. Severe weather is not expected at this time. Daytime temperatures will hold in the upper 50s.
Friday will be a bit cooler with temperatures in the low and middle 50s. A light mist in the morning won’t be ruled out, but the day should be dry.
Both days this weekend should be dry and in the middle 50s. Sunday evening could see a few showers, but the main round of rain won’t move in until later in the night.
Monday morning has a 40% chance for showers and a rumble of thunder or two, but the day itself looks mainly dry. At this point, it looks like the high temperature for the day will actually come during the overnight hours, so you can likely trade in the rain jacket Monday around noon for the heavy jacket instead.
