DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Afternoon high temperatures will continue to be well above average through the rest of the week. Temperatures will be topping out in the middle to upper 90s. We should just be in the mid 80s for high temperatures for this time of the year.
In the tropics, there are several organized storms are on the map. Tropical storms Jerry and Lorenzo pose no threat to land at this time. Lorenzo is expected to become the season’s next hurricane in the coming days.
Tropical storm Karen is moving northward from Puerto Rico. By next weekend, it is likely to make a westward turn. It is possible that westward movement to take it toward the U.S. coast. This will be a system to keep an eye on. At this time, it is not expected to strengthen significantly.
