DOTHAN Ala. (WDHN) — The skies cleared and the temps rose this afternoon to make for another pleasant Fall day. Will we see more days like today this week? Let’s dive in.
The remnants of Beta will move through Northern Mississippi and Alabama tomorrow. The afternoon and evening hours will likely have a couple rounds a showers and storms because of it. We’ll peak in the low 80s just before the rain begins.
The same system will bring a few more rounds of showers and storms Thursday night/Friday morning. We’ll probably see a break from the shower around noon before more rain moves in during the afternoon and evening hours. Not everyone is going to see it, but some high school football games will be affected in some facet.
The weekend looks a little drier now that we are getting closer to it. With temperatures in the middle 80s and rain chances below 50% both days, it’s not looking too shabby.
Monday and Tuesday will remain warm and provide a pleasant start to the work week. Rain chances will drop to nil on Tuesday and skies will clear up significantly just before a cold front moves through. That front will drop our temperatures from the lower and middle 80s Tuesday to the middle 70s on Wednesday.
Concerning the Tropics, this is the first time in a long time that there has been little to no activity. The NHC isn’t expecting any tropical development in the Atlantic over the next 5 days.
