DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Storm chances will be elevated going into the weekend. Even with stormy afternoons, afternoon highs will be in the mid 90s with heat index temperatures over 100°F.
Next week, showers and storms will continue to be in the forecast. That is some good news for the drought conditions that have developed in the Wiregrass. Dothan Regional is still over 12″ behind average for this point of the year. By the later part of the month and for August, rain and storm chances are looking more favorable for the drought conditions to begin to improve.
