DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — For Friday and Saturday, conditions will remain hot, dry, and breezy. Afternoon high temperatures will remain above average in the lower to possibly middle 90s for many of us.
By Sunday, conditions will begin to change as a tropical system approaches the Florida peninsula. It is likely that this system will be a tropical storm. At this it is likely that this system will become a tropical storm.
Right now, potential tropical cyclone is located over the southeastern Bahamas.
Locally, we will see an increase in storm chances for Sunday. Beyond that, it will depend on the path of the tropical system. A more eastern track will bring drier and hotter conditions back in next week. If the path is a little more west, putting it closer to the Wiregrass, rain and storm chances may stay a little higher and temperatures would be cooler.
This is a forecast that will be evolving over the next several days.
