DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — As of 10 PM Monday night, Dorian is stationary continuing major hurricane conditions on Grand Bahama. Winds are starting to weaken, but this is still a category 4 storm with 130 mph sustained wind. This will continue to be a problem for the island along with high storm surge into the day Tuesday. The forecast path at this time calls for the strongest wind to stay off shore of the U.S. as is tracks up the coast.
In the Wiregrass, we will experience pretty nice weather through this week. Dry air will be funneling into the southeast around hurricane Dorian. Rain chances will be minimal until the weekend.
Afternoon high temperatures will be in the lower to middle 90s this week with lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
