DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)- Thursday will be mainly dry for the first half of the day with isolated showers and thunderstorms developing into the afternoon hours. A few stray showers are possible into the overnight period with overnight lows falling to the lower 70s.
Storm chances will become more elevated by Friday and persist through the weekend as we have two upper level systems working together to bring more widespread moisture and lift in the atmosphere.
TROPICS: A low pressure system in the central Atlantic Ocean is expected to become a tropical depression or storm as we head into the weekend. We’ll watch it closely especially into next week as it moves westward towards the U.S.
