WDHN Storm Team: The sun has made its return!

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — What a relief it was to see blue skies and rays of sunshine today! We were able to warm up into the 50s for the first time since last Friday, and we expect even more warmth to move into the Wiregrass in the coming days.

Tonight will be chilly with a low of 34, clear skies, and areas of frost.

Thursday will be a beautiful and seasonably warm day. We’ll start off in the middle 30s, but radiant sunshine should warm us up nicely to about 60 degrees. As of right now, Thursday looks like the pick of the week in terms of weather!

Friday will start off in the 40s, and a couple, light showers in the pre-dawn hours are possible. After the showers move out, we’ll have mostly sunny skies and warm up into the middle and upper 50s.

Saturday morning’s temperatures will dive right back down into the lower 30s. Despite sunny skies, afternoon highs will stay in the low 50s. Sunday will be dry with increasing cloud cover and highs in the lower and middle 50s.

Besides a light shower overnight Sunday into Monday, the next significant rain chance doesn’t come until the middle of next week. Until then, enjoy the warm up into the upper 50s and low 60s for the first half of next week. Morning lows will remain in the 30s.
