WDHN Storm Team: Temperature roller coaster for the Tri-State

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Tonight will be a cold one as we drop back down into the upper 20s. Areas of frost will be possible, so make sure you bring the pets and the plants inside tonight!

A hoodie or sweatshirt will be desired commodity on Wednesday considering afternoon temperatures only warm up into the upper 50s. Don’t let the sunny skies fool you: it will be chilly. We’ll be close to freezing once again Wednesday night, but it will be about 5-10 degrees warmer than Monday and Tuesday night.

Thursday will be significantly warmer as we climb into the low 60s. We’ll still have mostly sunny skies during the day, but rain chances will increase during the late evening and overnight hours.

Friday will have a 40% chance for rain as a line of storms rolls across the Southeast U.S. Temperatures will be way up into the upper 60s, but the passing cold front will cut those temperatures back very quickly as we start the weekend.

Mostly sunny skies with middle and upper 50s will characterize the weekend. Lows will drop to around or just below 40 degrees.

Next week will start off with highs close to 60 degrees Monday and Tuesday with mainly sunny skies and chilly mornings both days.
