Wednesday will be the last calm and dry day in the forecast for the next week. We’ll have a mostly sunny sky and warm high temperatures in the mid 70s. On Thursday, our next storm system will be moving into the region. High rain and storm chances will then be with us into next week.
Depending on the timing of Thursday’s storms, we could have a few strong or severe storms in the Wiregrass. The primary severe weather risk area is in the lower Mississippi River valley. With storms possibly moving into our area in the mid afternoon hours now, there is a little better chance we could have a few severe storms.
