DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Going into the weekend, high pressure will be in control of our weather. We’ll have a sunny sky with warm afternoon temperatures. Our mornings will be on the cooler side because of the low humidity.
Afternoon temperatures will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s. The lows will be in the mid 60s. This will change next week.
Even with fall beginning at 2:50 AM CDT Monday, temperatures through the week will be increasing and will be well above average. Afternoon high temperatures will be in the middle to upper 90s at times.
In the tropics, we are still tracking hurricane Jerry. It is north of the Caribbean islands and will move in a more northerly direction this weekend. There is no threat to the US, but Bermuda may have to contend with the direct impact from the storm.
