WDHN Storm Team: Strong storms this evening, decreasing tonight

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — We had multiple Severe Thunderstorm Warnings this afternoon and evening, but the storms are finally starting to weaken. If you have pictures of hail, lightning, flooding, or any damage to trees or property, please email them to me at mwine@wdhn.com

The remaining storms will stay north of US 84 until they entirely move out around 10 pm tonight. Otherwise, we could see some fog with temperatures around 68 Saturday morning.

The majority of the area will remain dry Saturday, but don’t rule out an isolated storm during the late afternoon and evening hours. Remember: if thunder roars, head indoors. This is especially true for those spending time in the pool or at Lake Eufaula this weekend. We will be hot with temperatures in the low 90s throughout the Wiregrass.

Rain chances increase Sunday, so temperatures will be a little lower for some of us. However, those that don’t see rain until the evening hours will like peak in the 90s once again.

Monday will have more widespread coverage of rain and temperatures will drop back into the upper 80s because of it. The same can be said for Tuesday-Thursday as rain chances increase and temperatures hover in the mid-80s.
