WDHN Storm Team: Storms now but sunny skies are in sight

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Heavy rain with lots of lightning and thunder moved through the Wiregrass this afternoon and evening with reports of minor, temporary flooding in some areas. If you have pictures of today’s weather, please send them to me on Twitter @MatthewWine_wx or by email at mwine@wdhn.com. I would love to feature your photos on WDHN News at 10.

The storms will move out in the next few hours leaving us dry overnight. Temperatures will start off in the low 70s Saturday but quickly move close to 90 degrees before scattered storms pop up throughout the area.

Sunday will be just as warm, but the cold front will clear out any trace of wet weather and leave us with sunshine all day long! Monday and Tuesday will also be in the upper 80s with mostly sunny conditions and one or two isolated showers.

Mid-week we’ll see temperatures climb into the low 90s and even mid-90s by the weekend. Sunny or mostly sunny skies will prevail for the entirety of the Tri-State.
