DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)- Scattered showers and storms are in the forecast for our Monday. Widespread coverage will take place by this afternoon and highs will only reach the upper 80s. We’ll keep elevated rain chances in the forecast through Wednesday as a cool front approaches the area.
More pleasant air will follow by Thursday and sunshine will reign as highs reach the lower 90s. Humid air will build back into the weekend with isolated showers and storms in the forecast as well.
The tropics have turned more active as we are closing out August, and we are watching two areas of interest. One area is meandering in the western Atlantic Basin and will not impact our area, but we’re keeping a close eye on Tropical Storm Dorian. Dorian will move through the Windward Islands over the next several days, but it is still too far out to tell what our impacts will be in the Wiregrass.
