Thursday is going to start out as a pretty nice day, but showers and storms will move in for the evening hours. Some storms that develop will have potential to become strong to severe. The main threat will be wind in excess of 60 mph. There is a low-end threat of a few isolated tornadoes developing. The primary risk area at this time is to the west and southwest of Dothan.
Going into the weekend, better weather is on the way. Conditions will clear out and dry out. Afternoon high temperatures will be able to warm into the lower 80s. Next week will be mostly sunny and mainly dry. The only chance for rain will enter the forecast next Wednesday.
