DOTHAN, (Ala.) WDHN — Today was the last of a string of quiet days for Tri-State residents. We’ll be mostly cloudy and in the low 40s tonight.
Thursday is our rainy day. With a 100% chance for showers, you’ll want to bring the umbrella and rain jacket wherever you go! Most of the shower activity will be in the Wiregrass between Noon and 6 PM. Expect between .25″ and .5″ of rain once all is said and done. A misty shower will be possible on the back side of this system Thursday night and even on Friday morning.
Besides the chance of a mist on in the AM, Friday will be primarily a mostly cloudy and fairly cool day. Temperatures will hover in the low 50s, and winds will be out of the East at 5-15 mph.
Saturday will be another cool day, but we’ll will see a return of the sunshine. The same can be said for Sunday as well as temperatures are bumped up just a touch to make it into the middle 50s. Make sure to bundle if you are heading out early either day this weekend because morning lows will be right around freezing.
Sunday night into Monday will bring our next chance for showers. Most of these showers should be out of the area by the afternoon hours. Depending on the track of the low pressure system, we could see many folks not even make it out of the 40s on Monday.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be another couple of below average days in terms of temperature. Both mornings will likely start close to freezing. Abundant sunshine will be present both days.
