WDHN Storm Team: Rain chances moving back into the forecast

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Tonight’s lows will only drop into the middle 40s. Clear skies will prevail.

Wednesday will be warm with a high in the low 70 degrees and sunshine all day long.

Thursday will also be in the low 70s, but we’ll start to see an increase in cloud cover ahead of the next cold front. An isolated shower is possible in the evening. Overnight lows will be in the 50s or 60s from here until the end of the forecast period.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with a 20% chance for showers and a few storms. No severe threat is expected, but lightning is possible. Temperatures will hold in the low 70s. The heaviest showers should stay north of the Wiregrass.

Saturday will be very warm with highs easily in the middle 70s. An isolated shower is possible. I expect whatever rain we get to be fairly short-lived.

Sunday will be nearly sweltering for this time of year as temperatures likely top out in the low 80s. A few showers are possible, but it shouldn’t be a washout.

Monday will also be warm, but showers will be a little more likely at 30%. Temperatures should remain in the 70s.

Tuesday has a 40% chance of showers right now, but that may be on the rise as we approach next week. Because of the rain and clouds, expect high temperatures to be knocked back into the 60s.
