DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — It was a toasty and dry day to start off the week. That won’t continue much longer though as scattered storms and cooler temperatures move into our area.
Over the next couple days, additional moisture will help spark off numerous scattered storms which could produce heavy rain. With the much cloudier conditions, our temperatures will hang in the upper 80s and low 90s.
Thursday will also see scattered storms, but models are trending a little drier.
Friday and Saturday will be much drier with temperatures also much higher. We’ll return to the above average temperatures as we approach the mid-90s. A slightly better chance for showers and storms moves back into the picture Sunday and Monday.
Concerning the Tropics, Invest 92L is gaining strength and speed as it moves toward the Leeward Islands. We’ll keep monitoring this system, but its track is fairly uncertain considering its current disorganized state.
