DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — For Wednesday afternoon, we had extremely hot temperatures with heat indices well over 105°F. Thursday, some slightly drier air will begin to work into the region. That will lower the heat index temperatures and also lower the storm chances.
Lower storm chances stay in the forecast for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s, however, the humidity will make it feel slightly more comfortable than it has been.
Next week we will have a slightly more unsettled pattern setting. Afternoon temperatures will be in the lower 90s with scattered afternoon showers and storms.
