DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The showers and storms that we have been tracking in the Panhandle will begin to dissipate as we head into the evening hours. A few have been strong to severe due to the extremely hot temperatures.
For Wednesday and Thursday, the overall pattern is going to be mostly dry and hot. As high pressure settles in over us, it will limit the development of afternoon showers and storms due to some dry air being in place. Bu the weekend, conditions will become more humid again and that will promote the development of more rain and storm chances. Temperatures will be trending around average by then.
