Temperatures will be warning into the upper 90s for most of us this weekend. Areas to the panhandle and southwest Georgia have a better chance of getting close to the century mark. A heat advisory has been issued in areas devastated by Hurricane Michael due to the possibility of hotter temperatures. There is also a better chance of wildfires starting and spreading easily because of the dry conditions.
Next week, slightly cooler temperatures are in the forecast, but the humidity levels will be a little higher. That will make the heat index temperature a greater concern. They will be creeping into the 102°+ range. Remember to stay cool and hydrated if you do have outdoor plans.
