For Wednesday and Thursday, the overall pattern is going to be mostly dry and hot. As high pressure settles in over us, it will limit the development of afternoon showers and storms due to some dry air being in place. By the weekend, conditions will become more humid again and that will promote the development of more rain and storm chances. Temperatures will be trending around average by then.
Each afternoon, storms that do develop will have the ability to become strong to severe. The main threats will be wind in excess of 60 mph. The overall risk is low and organized severe weather is not expected at this time.
