DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Friday night football is on, and the heat might need to be turned on tonight as well. Temperatures will be dropping into the low 60s and upper 50s at the end of the games tonight, but they’ll be dropping into the upper 40s in the early morning hours.
Tomorrow’s continuation of sunny skies and cool temps will make for a great day to get outside and do some hiking, yard work, camping, or just about any other outdoor activity. And if you can’t tomorrow, Sunday will be another chance to enjoy fantastic, Fall weather.
Monday will restart that trend of morning lows in the 60s and afternoon highs in the low to middle 80s. We’ll introduce some more moisture into the SE U.S. during the week. This will lead to some isolated showers across AL, GA, and FL, but the probability for these showers happening is very low. Therefore, we’ll keep sky conditions at mostly to partly sunny throughout the next week.
While everything is quiet in the Wiregrass, don’t forget that the Tropics still have lots of potential this month. Models are predicting we’ll have 2 systems form over the next week, one in the Caribbean and one in the Atlantic. If they become named storms, which I think they will, they would be named Epsilon and Zeta.
