DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The streak of days with heat index temperatures over 100° will continue into the weekend and next week. In fact, the heat index temperatures will be trending upwards to near 110° for some locations at times.
Some afternoon showers and storms will be developing. Since there will be a lot of heat energy to work with, some storms may be able to produce strong wind in addition to periods of heavy rain. Certainly keep an eye to the sky if you have plans to be outdoors.
