DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)- Hurricane Dorian will stay well to the east of us, but it will bring us some breezy conditions Wednesday and Thursday. The hot and dry weather pattern will allow us to warm up into the middle to upper 90s through the weekend. Slight rain chances will return as we close out the weekend and into early next week, but overall our weather pattern will remain quiet.
The tropics have turned more active with 5 areas that we are watching. As of Wednesday morning, Hurricane Dorian is a category 2 storm and will continue on its path up the east coast causing no impact to our area. Tropical Storm Fernand will move over Mexico away from the Wiregrass and we’re also watching Tropical Storm Gabrielle in the central Atlantic Basin. Two other tropical waves bear watching over the next several days, but no pose an immediate threat to the Wiregrass.
