WDHN Storm Team: Afternoon showers & storms

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The weather pattern is going to be staying in a holding pattern for the next several days. We can expect afternoon high temperatures to be in the middle to upper 90s with heat index temperatures exceeding 100°F.

Freedom Fest at Ft. Rucker is Wednesday evening and any afternoon showers or storms that do develop should clear out by 9 PM, when the fireworks show is set to begin.

Friday and into the weekend, rain and storm chances will be slightly higher, in the 40% range. That will help temperatures to be a little cooler than they have been, but still trending well above average.
