Tropical Storm Cristobal forms in the Gulf of Mexico

Tropical Depression Three has been upgraded into Tropical Storm Cristobal, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Its maximum sustained winds have are said to be at 40 miles per hour.

Cristobal is expected to maintain tropical storm conditions along Mexico’s coast, which is now under a tropical storm warning.

Right now, it’s projected to move north across the Gulf by this weekend, but it’s too early to tell where or when it will impact the U.S. coastline.
