DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Another gorgeous and warm Wiregrass day, but now we’ll be dropping those temperatures into the 30s tonight.
Saturday will look great with sunny skies, but the temperatures will be on the cooler side once again. Most folks should make it close to 50 degrees. Sunshine might even warm up some places into the middle 50s.
Sunday will start off extra chilly as we go deep into the 30s. A light freeze will be likely across much of the Tri-State. We will warm up nicely into the middle 50s with mostly sunny skies.
Monday is the start of a serious warming trend next week. We’ll be in the upper 50s and low 60s with sunny skies. Tuesday will be sunny yet again with everyone moving from morning lows in the 30s to afternoon highs in the low 60s.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, but southwesterly winds will easily take us into the middle and maybe even upper 60s.
Thursday and Friday look fairly similar at this point. High pressure to our south will continue to combat most of our rain chances despite bringing in more of that Gulf moisture and warmth. Temperatures will easily be in the upper 60s and low 70s. Most of the rain should stay just to our north, but a southward shift in the location of this high pressure would allow us to see better rain chances. We’ll give it a 20% chance for rain both Thursday and Friday for right now.
