McCraney evidence hearing postponed

New Developments were set to happen in the McCraney case.

A hearing was scheduled to be held Monday morning at 9 am to determine whether the defense’s motions for more evidence would be granted, however, the hearing was continued until a later date.

Some of the requests include a retesting of the DNA evidence and access to evidence taken by the state during its investigation.

This includes records of the interview with former reserve officer Rena Crumb and evidence gathered by JB Beasley’s father, Lanier Beasley.

McCraney’s trial is now set for February 2, 2020.
