The New Brockton football team has a new coach. Zack Holmes will coach the Gamecocks for the 2019 season.

The Coffee County School Board hired Holmes to take over from former coach Justin Jones Thursday. Jones resigned to become Cordova High School head coach in North Alabama.

Last season, Holmes served as a special teams coordinator under former Enterprise High coach David Faulkner. Prior to that, he was the defensive coordinator at Eufaula. Coach Holmes says the Gamecocks have an excellent team with a winning tradition.

“I am super excited to be a member of this great coaching staff and be apart of the New Brockton community.” Zack Holmes said.

Coach Holmes met with his new team and is impressed with the winning spirit displayed by the players.
