Troy’s Geiger named to Earl Campbell award watch list

TROY, Ala (WDHN) — Troy Senior wideout, Kaylon Geiger, was added to the watchlist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose award. The honor recognizes the best offensive player from the state of Texas.

Geiger is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from R L Paschal High School.

In 2019, Geiger finished second in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving yards a game. His 77 catches ranks third all time in Trojan history.

The Sun Belt Newcomer of the year also ranks second nationally among returning active players this fall with nearly 7 grabs a game. Also, his five 100 yard games from a year ago is third nationally.

Geiger has already been added to the Biletnikoff watch list as well as being named to the 1st team preseason All-Sun Belt team.
