TROY, Ala (WDHN) — The Troy Trojans received the heart breaking news today that their final regular season game against ULM has been cancelled.
The game is scratched due to Louisiana Monroe not having enough available players to compete on Thursday night. The game was slated as well to be the sixth and final home game at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Troy ends the season with a 5-6 record and will miss out on a bowl game after placing sixth in the Sun Belt. This year, only the top five schools were able to qualify for a bowl game and Troy finished 3-4, a half game and tie breaker behind Georgia State and Georgia Souther.
“We are extremely disappointed in the news that ULM will not have enough players available to play Thursday’s game,” Troy Director of Athletics Brent Jones said.
