TROY, Ala. (WDHN) — Former Red Top linebacker Jarvis Hayes is expected to play a pivotal role for the Troy Trojans this upcoming season.
Hayes injured his shoulder in Troy’s bowl victory against Buffalo last year. Under Coach Lindsey, Hayes has been moved from defensive end to “bandit” linebacker. He’ll be roaming the field looking for the ball carrier.
“We have a lot of new players and returning ones, I believe this defense has the potential this year to be very, very dangerous,” Hayes said.
The Troy coaching staff has listed Jarvis as a potential starter in the season opener against Campbell Aug. 31.
