SLOCOMB, Ala. (WDHN) — The temperature was at least ten degrees higher at the Red Tops stadium in eastern Geneva County Thursday night.

In anticipation of tomorrow night’s homecoming ceremony, the Slocomb high student body held an “Ole fashion” bonfire. The Red Tops’ will take on Houston Academy in Class 3A, Region 2 contest.

Slocomb coach Rich Tisdale believes his squad is on the bubble. They can’t afford to lose any more region contests.

“It’s like a tv show, all the police are here. I hope nobody is breaking in houses, all the police are in Slocomb,” Coach Rich Tisdale said.

The coronation of this year’s homecoming ceremony gets underway at 6:15 p.m. tomorrow night before the game.
