Rocket City Trash Pandas’ Inaugural Season postponed after MiLB season cancelled

Sports

Huntsville, Ala (WDHN) — This week, Minor League Baseball teams learned that their 2020 season has officially been cancelled. This means the inaugural season for the Rocket City Trash Pandas in Madison, Alabama will have to wait for 2021.

Though the team had not yet played a single game, the fan hype was building as Northern Alabama was finally going to get baseball again.

Owner of the Trash Pandas, Ralph Nelson knows why the move had to be made but he is sure that baseball will be there when the people need it most.

“Baseball has always been a part of the healing when our country has come back from tragic times and I firmly believe the Trash Pandas will help heal north Alabama. When we come out of the other side of this pandemic and even stronger community,” said Nelson.

As of now, the organization does not yet have the full details on how refunds will be distributed for season ticket holders, but the team affirms that the refund will be in full.
