Providence uses last year’s state semifinal loss as a motivator this season


The Raiders will host Zion Chapel in an exhibition game at Northcutt Field.

The Providence Christian Eagles looking to replicate their 2018 season.

They finished with a school-record of 12 wins with only two losses. They lost a “heartbreaker” in the last second to Flomaton in the state semifinal.

Coach Kenny Keith will use it as a motivator for his club.

“And we have several guys on the team that was in the semifinals. They relay that feeling to the younger guys, so yes I do use that as motivation,” Keith said.

The Providence Eagles will travel to New Brockton in the “Game of the Week” Friday.
