Providence Christian beats Enterprise in home volleyball match


DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Thursday night, Providence Christian and Enterprise squared off for the second time this season. In the first match, it was the Wildcats who were victorious on their home court. Now, it was time for the Eagles to be at home.

In the first game, Providence came out hot and took the game 25 to 11.

Then things picked up and the Wildcats battled back in the second set, holding the lead til the final points but, Providence came back and stole the second game 25-23.

Much like the second game, the third game was back and forth with Enterprise leading halfway through. They were able to put together point streaks and at times had the Eagles on their toes.

Again, Providence was able to regroup and take the game from Enterprise, winning this time 25-22.

Leading the way for Providence Christian was Senior, Adleigh Mayes who had seven aces and tallied and impressive 21 assists. Senior, Anna Riley had 10 kills and five digs. Then, Anna Grace O’Bryan had 14 digs and 4 aces on the night.

For Enterprise, Junior Samantha Neuwien had 21 assists and seven digs. Lily Rhoades contributed 10 digs.
