Opp football hopes to put the nightmare behind

OPP, Ala. (WDHN) — Brent Hill is entering his sixth season at the helm of the Bobcats and he wants to turn around the nightmare of the 2018 season.

Opp went winless last year, but Hill sees the “sun on the horizon” for this upcoming season.

Former University of Alabama head football coach and Opp grad Mike Dubois has been hired as defensive coordinator. It’s hoped Dubois experience in the trenches will help bring back the bobcats.

“Coach Duboise is a big reason why I’m here, he’s probably one of the smartest coaches I have ever been around,” Hill said.

The Bobcats will travel east to take on their annual foe Elba Tigers Aug. 23.
