New Brockton football stadium receives makeover

COFFEE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — New Brockton’s football confines have received a makeover.

This summer, a new scoreboard was installed at Gamecock Stadium. In addition, crews have repainted several buildings including the home stands.

For assistant principal and athletic director Bryan Peacock, the improvements help with the overall morale of the team.

“Since Coach Holmes came we have renovated our field house, football stands, a lot of fertilizer, time and effort. We have painted several buildings a new scoreboard and a new 40-second clock,” said Bryan Peacock, the athletic director.

In Class 2A, Region 3 New Brockton competes against several tough teams including Luverne, Goshen, and the Highland Home Flying Squadron.
