WDHN Quarterback Room: Florala’s Logan West

Local Sports

Last Friday night, Florala took care of business Houston Academy 47-20.

The Wildcats Logan West was 12-22 passing for 290 yards and four touchdowns. He rushed for 278 yards and two scores on 25 carries to lead the Wildcats past Houston Academy.

By the way, the senior booted 5-6 extra points. His chief receiver was Rashad Coleman who snagged nine catches for 215 yards and two TD’s on offense and made two interceptions for Florala on defense.

Logan gave a lot of credit to his first-year head coach Toby Greene. Greene has a strong resume of success on the gridiron in the Wiregrass including stops at Geneva County, Cottonwood, and Rehobeth.

“Coach Greene is a true general on the field and a friend off the field. He pushes us and what we need to do in order to need to win.” Logan West said.

The surprising 3-3 Wildcats will be on the road Friday night playing region rival the 1-4 Red Level Tigers.
