DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Before they could play in the college world series, these 6-12 years old men had to learn the fundamentals of the game.

At Wallace Community College this week, a summer camp was held by the school’s head coach and former Major League player, Mackey Sasser, along with his staff

“Objective is to train them properly on how to run, throw, hit. If the kids listen, we can get them to where they need to be,” Coach Sasser said.

Over the years, some of the kids who have gone through Coach Mackey Sasser baseball camp would later wind up playing for Wallace and other collegiate teams.
