Cottonwood with the ball and Diamond Acree takes it up court passes it out to Shelbie Chambers who makes her past the Rebels’ defense and takes the shot, but misses.

However, she makes up for it by going two-for-two from the free-throw line after being fouled.

Cottonwood wins this one 48-37.

“I think we need it,” Head Coach Lazabian Jackson said. “Any win is good for us. We got a young team, and we’re just trying to grow every night. The more times we win, the more confidence they build versus last year, particularly our loses. Now they’re building their confidence, they believe in themselves, and I think it’ss pay off in the long run.”

The Bears leading scorer was once again Diamond Acree with 10 points.
