Troy, Ala. (WDHN)—Troy University Head Baseball Coach Mark Smartt announced eight players who signed with the
Trojans’ during the “early signing period”.
One of those players’ hails from the wiregrass.
Its been about a year since Providence Christian Academy took the Class 3A State Title
at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery.
A big reason for the Eagles’ capturing the title was pitcher Grayson Stewart. Stewart was the Alabama Sports’ Writer’s Top-Class 3A player in 2019. He was also the Top-Class 3A pitcher of the year.
Coach Smartt says “Grayson has a good feel with all of his pitches and has been a winner
throughout his high school career, which should translate well here at Troy.”
