This afternoon the Emerald Coast Golf Tour’s Dothan Classic was in full swing.
A shotgun start for the pros and amateurs.
The 54-hole, three-day tournament has a total purse of around $6,000.
The Destin based tour runs from March through November.
The Dothan Country Club is just one of 17 sites of competition and some of the top performers will qualify for the PGA Tour.
“A lot of these players are moving up and are going to play on the PGA Tour,” said Geno Celano.
After it moves on from Dothan this week, the tour will head to Tallahassee in early June.
