Associate Athletic Director Kyle George sits down with Ben Stanfield to discuss this Saturday’s Troy spring game.
T-Day is an annual event for Troy University football. However, there is something different about this year.
After the Troy State era, Troy is currently on its third football coach after acquiring Chip Lindsey to replace Neal Brown. Lindsey is set to make his debut in front of the Trojan family to showcase what he brings to the table.
“He’s excited about having the fans to come out, show support, and see the team’s progress so far,” George said.
If seeing Lindsey and the Trojans in action are not enough to get fans out to Troy, former Trojan and future NFL Hall of Famer Demarcus Ware will be in attendance.
“He’ll be here Friday and Saturday participating in activities. He’s excited about being back in the stomping grounds after several months.”
In addition to the activities, Ware will be holding a tornado recovery relief effort project for Troy and Lee County.
“Friday, Demarcus, the city of Troy, Troy Athletics will be at Saint Peter Baptist Church in Troy for a couple of hours to collect items. Anything from cleaning supplies, bottled water, clothes, just any recovery items you can help out with.”
T-Day is a free event. Kickoff at 11 a.m.
