ENTERPRISE, Ala (WDHN) — Since his hiring at Abbeville on this Monday, LaBrian Stewart has been busy trying to get to know names and faces of his new team.
Stewart spoke at the Enterprise high school football media day this morning and he was very eager to get onto the field and lead the Yellow Jackets.
Given the success the school has had in the last few years, Stewart’s expectations for the team are rather high.
“With this class, you know 90 percent back, the type of team where one or two plays away from third or fourth round or possibly state championship…going in…That’s what we want to be able to do…That the expectation to win a state championship there is no doubt,” Stewart said passionately.
The Yellow Jackets have gone 27-8 in their past three regular seasons which certainly sets the bar high for Stewart.
He will rely on his 15 plus years of experience to lead this team to the goals in which he has set.
