The new consolidated Dothan High School has its new boy’s basketball coach.
Janasky Fleming is a familiar face in Dothan athletics and politics. The longtime Dothan City commissioner spent the last decade coaching the Northview boy’s basketball team, and before that he coached the Cougar girl’s program. Coach Fleming told WDHN Sports that guiding the Wolves is a great opportunity with so much talent between the two schools.
“For 40 years we had two schools, now we have one school so we have good talent now,” Flemming said.
This upcoming season, the Wolves will remain a Class 6A program. Coach Fleming expects the consolidated school to be re-classified as Class 7A beginning with the 2020-2021 season.
