Jamie Riggs steps down as Houston Academy’s head football coach

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — Thursday afternoon, Houston Academy stated publicly that head football coach, Jamie Riggs, has step down from that position.

Riggs has coached the Raiders for the past three seasons and has accumulated an 11-20 record.

“I want to thank everyone that has helped us at Houston Academy in our efforts to rebuild our football program over the last 3 years,” Riggs told the school.

Taking up the role as head coach will now be Eddie Brundidge who served as an assistant under Riggs.
