Houston County Lions look to rebuild football team

The Houston County Lions will host the Headland Rams in their spring football jamboree game Friday night. Lion’s coach Mike Atkins says it’s a rebuilding year.

A dozen members of the 2018 squad will graduate. Coach Atkins says he has around 30 young men in spring practice.
“When you only have 25 players and they’re young it can cause us problems this year, but will be experienced the following year.”
Tomorrow night’s spring game against Headland kicks off at seven o’clock in Columbia.
