Headland Rams prepare for unbeaten Pike Road Patriots

HEADLAND, Ala. (WDHN) — Headland’s football team will take on Pike road at Alabama State University in Montgomery Friday night.

Rams coach Danny Raines is looking for his team to rebound from a defeat at the hands of Trinity last week. Headland is going into Friday night’s contest with a question mark at quarterback.

Starter Tray Melton broke his fibula a few weeks ago so junior fullback Tyler Dailey will call the signals.

Coach Raines is confident of his team’s abilities.

“Dre Newman worked so hard its a shame. Ty has come in and is doing a good job,” Raines said. “Ty will lead the team and hopefully we can do as best we can.”

Headland is 4-1 while the Pike Road Patriots are 5-0.
